Now in his second year of school, Boywonder’s enthusiasm to
learn new words is really blossoming. No matter where he is, he finds a bevy of
words to learn. While we were in our bedroom getting the girls ready for bed,
Boywonder went into the ensuite to use the toilet.
Every now and then he’d call out the letters on a product
and ask us what it spelled, and we’d call out the word.
Then he yelled out, ‘What does this spell? T-A-M-P-A-X.’
Mr T thought it was hilarious as he yelled back, ‘Tampax!’
because he thought that I was going to have to explain what they were.
Before Boywonder had a chance to ask, five-year-old Tomboy
called out, ‘They’re for girls, you don’t need to know about them!’
We didn’t know that she knew about them!
